your black & white needs a little bit of red...

Hello, lovelies ♥

(the title of this contest is from my new favourite song by Serena Ryder).

I always say that a poet's gotta feel, have soul... a poet's gotta bleed, and this contest is about blood and bleeding, whether it be physical or otherwise.

Rules:

-keep it short (under 25 lines)
-spell properly and don't type like an idiot (this includes dirty-pretty)
-no whiny emo garbage

If anyone can write an AMAZING poem about cutting that is in no way boring, cliched, or whiny, or that can bring me to tears, you will receive bonus points at the end of the contest!

HINTS:

-Free-verse is preferred
-I LOVE dark/abstract/sad writes (emo is NOT sad)
-Journal entries are NOT poetry and will be DQed.
-I'm allergic to poor spelling/grammar and forced rhyme.

Points will go up as I see fit... I reserve the right to comment (or not), and if I don't like your poem, I will DQ you without warning.

Oh, and please don't complain if I'm honest with you.

    For the first time, I'm happy to report that there was not a single piece of crap in this contest. Every one of you did amazingly, and this is one of those contests where I wished I could give everyone a trophy, but obviously, points are limited, so I picked the ones that touched me the most as your winners.

    Bonus points will also be sent to the authors of "Eminence Grise" and 'dust to dust', as they truly surpassed all expectations for the bonus option.
