First of all I want to thank you all for letting me win the Golden trophy in the former contest...I was very happy with that...
But now it's time for business
As you all might or not might know. I am working for over 25 years as a nurse...(Yeahyeah...I know..that old
)
Mostly with Alzheimer clients and now with Korsakov clients...
I am doing it with all my heart, always did...there are many moments I could tell you about the...sadness, joy, emotional moments, tight hands, fulfilment, not being good enough,...and so on and so on.........
What I want to ask from you in this contest is:
1) Write a letter to your own nurse, let me see how you should want to be taken care of when you're ill and have no other choice than depend on his or her care...
2) Write me a poem about being ill, physical or mental and how you would feel or would behave oneself.
3) Write me a poem about a visit to your doctor.
4) Write me a poem about healthcare and how you see it for the future.
5) If nothing of these four idea's can tickle your muse...enter a poem with no more than three comments...so we can make you feel better
(this is the only option where a prewrite is aloud)
6) If you're a care/healthtaker yourself you could write a poem about that kind of perspective.
Well...that's all for now...you all know the rules..blahblahblah

Contest is Over
- Contest was judged on December 8, 2008
- Rewards: Gold: 400, Silver: 300, Bronze: 200, Honorable mention: 2 people
- Final notes: I think that Christmass time is getting us into his grip, 7 entries in my contest means that or you didn't liked it, or you just had no time to enter it.
Well I wanna thank the ones that took the time to write, wrote at least a little message why they couldn't enter and for all the rest...what can I say...
The judging was out of my hands, I liked all of the poems so maybe even glad there were other clever heads braking their brains over the Gold..
Wings of Gold and Catz were both good for the Bronze with each 6 points...I had to make a horrible decission who would win the bronze...
I chose Wings of Gold because 4 people voted on his...but I liked Catz poem a lot too...and I give her some Dutch to make it up with her...

=) I'm writing now. I have been inactive becuase, oddly enough, I've been in the hospital all week with my boyfriend, he was diagnosed with severe walking pneumonia and then toncillitous **spelling sorry** on top of that. =( Mega sob No eating or drinking barely breathing on his own. Stable now though, just had one hell of a week poor kid =((
