Can you hear me now?

Recently I watched a movie entitled,
"Eternal Sunshine of the spotless mind."

During the movie Jim Carrey who was
one of the main characters in the movie
said something that I thought was very intriguing.

While he was in bed with his girlfriend after
making out, she tried to get his attention.
Like alot of men after sex we want to sleep.
However his girlfriend thought it a good time
to be intimate in conversation.

So she kept talking to him eventhough he
wasn't really giving her his full attention.
Of course this annoyed her and she said in
a frustrated tone, I'm trying to communicate
with you." "Relationships are about intimacy
but you won't talk to me."

Jim Carrey's character replied by saying,
"Constantly talking isn't necessarily
communicating."

That phrase caught my attention because i've
often believed the same thing.
So many ladies like to chatter chatter chatter.
But the essence of their conversation
many times is shallow and boring.
So I could really relate to him when he
made the statement.

This contest is open to male and female.
I would love for you to take the quote
by Jim Carrey, "Constantly talking isn't
necessarily communicating", and write a
poem anwsering it in your own way.

Now this is not a Male vs Female
kind of contest.
I just want your honest opinion
in poetic form.
We've all encountered this situation in
one way or another.
Guys usually think the ladies talk too much.
The ladies accuse us guys of not paying
enough attention to them.
Use this forum to communicate to each other.

Rules

1. No computer lingo
2. No dirty pretty
3. No bashing or insulting anyone.(please be mature.)
4. No Prewrites
5. Check spelling and do your best with grammar
6. No anti guy or girl stuff

All entries must be in poetic form.
I'm not looking for a novel

You can write your poem in any form except
dirty pretty but I perfer free verse

Winner takes all. ( 500 points )

I'm hoping this will be a real interesting
contest with some relevant entries.

I will not DQ anyone but if you disrecard
my wishes you will not have any chance
of placing in the contest.

    I'm a female, and female's wanting to talk and all, just annoy the crap out of me. Lol

    But interestingly, my dad is like that! Friggin talking constantly. Lol.

    Anyway, good idea for a contest. I've never heard of that movie and I actually love Jim Carrey

    I've been pondering this since I first shared my thoughts on this topic with you...my muse is still on an extended vacation...so cannot enter but perhaps women talk to engage in a dialogue and men hear a monologue....just a rambling and a rolling a few more words your way...
