Meroza is my AP daughter and this is her idea for a contest.
If you get a chance, please stop by her page to say hello
http://allpoetry.com/Meroza
If you are like me, you see something different each time you close your eyes, so you may enter as many times as you want. Feel free to reserve a spot but please have your piece finished by closing.
The only rule for this contest is that you MUST have fun.
I’m not allowing pre writes for this contest because it’s suppose to be a spur of the moment poem, not one already written.
Thank you and I look forward to reading your work, Cathy.
Here is your prompt:
"Close your eyes and tell me what you see"
In short, you are to write a poem about the first thing you see
when closing your eyes. If you see colors, write a poem about
colors, or if you see a brick fence and yellow flowers, write about
that.
Please note: I have started a new column with a list of words that lots of people including me are always having trouble using correctly. The link is below and if you have any to add to it, please feel free to do so. Thanks
