Haiku v Haiku

Welcome everyone.

I want some beautiful haiku poetry.

This is a haiku contest with a difference.

First of all, I want you to submit a fresh haiku.

I shall await comment until a large group of you have entered.

What will happen then, is, that your haiku will then be judged against another.

for example, the first submission will be judged against the second entry, as will be 3 with 4, and so forth.

Gradually, clearing way for four semi finalists who shall each receive a trophy.

Best of luck everyone

 Sir William.

So, round 1 is finished and should I say, that took some doing to judge.

Please find below to see who is up against you now.

Contest is Over

  • Contest was judged on November 30, 2008
  • Rewards: Gold: 2000, Silver: 300, Bronze: 100, Honorable mention: 1 people
  • Final notes:
well, I am gobsmacked at the class these haikus were. I am not skillful in the form nor what I need to look for, but what I do know is, I was looking for something pretty in fact, something I could relate to and something which really knocked my socks off. Please find a run down of my selections, and as you will see, a lot went into this to find what I felt, in mind were the best on offer. Please, don't give me judgement on this, as it is totally personal, and I do respect those who have doen their best to judge fairly, that is why I use you were all anonomous. Thanks once again, and for you r patience, Best Wishes, Tony
