depleted dreams and other things...

So, there are some phrases that stay stuck in my mind. I play with them a few different ways, and never seem to catch what I feel. So, I am going to list the phrases, and you are to take them where you will; within the rules, of course.


The phrases are:

~Soft and Stinging

~heard it deeper than ears

~I shut out the sun

~fingerprinted skin

~the rain of man



Some other options:

-Don't presume the passion
burning inside isn't willing
to light you on fire
and feed relentless flames.

-I am in you, skin-deep
penetrating thickness
of heart and palms;
my heart, your palms.

-I am everything I am
because you cup
my heart in your palm,
and listen to love
beating against the odds.

-I wish I was wrapped in you
like before. When fingertips
formed skin tighter to bones
and shivers never ceased.

-I heard the birds. Sang you
a song of brokenness
and black and blue holes in
my soul. It is 11:11
and maybe if I make a wish
you will come true.
