No prewrites allowed.
No line limit but I get bored easy if the poem isn't good.
I don't care how you write love, dark, etc but just do the song some justice.
In your author notes put what song you picked.

- Contest was judged on November 17, 2008
- Rewards: Gold: 600, Silver: 500, Bronze: 400, Honorable mention: 5 people
- Final notes: The gold wrote a stunning Villanelle Inspired by Cohen's Hallelujah that floored me and almost left me speechless.
The silver wrote a humor poem inspired by the mean kitty that was so funny and the flow of it was perfect.
The bronze wrote a beautiful and touching love poem inspired by Don't Wanna Miss A Thing.
Every poem in this contest is worth reading and commenting on. All of you did outstanding so that's why I am closing it early and awarding you all something.
Tears in Rain you'll be getting 30 points but because of the limit of hm's now I can't give you one..sorry. I really did find your poem really funny though.
Around Christmas I'm going to be hosting another contest similar to this but with holiday songs so be on the look out!
