I decided to let the contest open for one more day. Since today is my dead sister's birthday, it would be nice if you wrote a poem in honor of this day. My sister died when I was almost two. She died from a seizure disorder. I know this much about her. She was kind, honest, and she cared about me. So, please in honor of her 19th birthday and my first contest, write a poem about her or how great it is to have a sister.
Hello everyone. This is my first contest and I hope I will enjoy judging it
From time to time, my thoughts wander through my body to my fingertips. It eager to write my train of thought with emotion. I would really like it if you let me explore your minds.
Three different options:
1) Write about a place that you love to see. Describe your feeling, your thoughts. Let me see, smell, touch,etc.
2) Write about a emotion you know very well. So well that you can teach it. Explain this emotion as if I don't know what it is.
3) Write about a thought you had recently or one that never left your brain. Tell me it with great detail.
Now rules. I hate them as much as you do. But, bear with me with this:
No sticky caps. What's the point of that anyway? It's poetry, people!
Prewrites are allowed. If they fit. But, you can enter a prewrite that's not about the contest, but it has to be one that haven't won anything or new
Grammar and proper spelling. I have problem with my grammar out loud. But, with writing, I will be on you about it.
No limit of lines. I will try my best to read them all
And, you can have two per person. Two prewrites, two new poem, one of each. I don't care. I may make the points go up and change the rules from time. But only time will tell...

Sorry to hear about your sister. It's a nice thing to do for her but unfortunately my internet connection was down for the last two days and i'm only seeing this now and i'm at work so there's no way i can write something good to make the deadline. have fun judging.
