Here goes my very first Huguenauties Contest! I am so honored to help Maureen, and will keep her health issues in my daily prayers.

Someone asked abut rhyming poetry. I think that is a standard rule but thought I'd mention it anyway.

Renee
-
Is it against the rules to have the contest open for "pre-writes"? I think all our members understand that the poem has to relate to one of the three options, correct?
Renee

I am the culprit of all these comments.

Thanks for posting a contest on peace and remembrance in time for November 11!
-
-
You are welcome. I was anxious to get the contest opened in time for Remembrance Day and couldn't wait any longer for Renee to fix it.
XOXOXO

Ah, I have a prewrite, well kind of, something I wrote long ago and posted on Pari Ali's group (can't remember the name of the group now). Anyway, It isn't new but also isn't posted on any of my pages, which makes of it a non prewrite, right? Ok, I confused myself.
Will look for it -
-
Put it in as a new poem then. Will look forward to seeing it.

You're allowing only rhyming poetry? Darn... My muse is still on vacation but I have a non-rhyming poem which I wrote a couple of years ago and fits the contest but is not rhymed. And I really wanted to enter the contest, too... Oh well, maybe next time unless I can think of something in the next couple of days. And I've tried but it just isn't coming to me so far.

-
If you've nothing else, enter it anyway. Better than not having anything in.
Love and hugs, XXX Hugh (R.)

As I review these contests Dee, most of them require rhyming poetry but I think Hugh amends rules on occasion. Send him an IM about your poem. I am easy and live by the code that some rules will be broken, especially when it comes to dealing with a contrary muse. LOL
LOVE YOU ♥
Renee

OOPS!
I see, Hugh will allow your poetry.
-
-
What time does it end!
I am the culprit for keeping the contest open. I have meant to come back and finish critiquing the poetry and sending in my list, but illness sets in, so I will remain at the computer right now until I finish and won't hold you up much longer. Think I have five more to go, and it is suppertime here -- 7:00 PM
Good luck to everyone who submitted.
