Okay, so this is going to be straight and to the point...
You have THREE options and three only.
ONE
Write a poem crying out to God
(Not some sea god or god of fertility. I believe in ONE God. His name is Jesus. If you break this rule, I will DQ you and delete your entry immediately.)
TWO
Write about writing
(I'm especially fond of those that express the struggle to come up with something to write.) Please, unleash my muse.
THREE
Write about that innocent, first love or true love.
(Any erotica/sensual will be DQ and deleted immediately.)
I have allowed more than one entry per person; however, I do ask that you only submit one poem to each category.
Here's how I decide who wins...
I read your poem. If I like it, I add it to the preliminary finalists list.
When the contest ends, I re-read all the finalist poems and judge based on the following point system:
5 points for a creative title that RELATES to your poem.
5 points for accurate spelling/grammar
10 points for something that is heartfelt, written with true emotion
10 points for something with a good message/moral
20 over-all points
For a total of 50
Ready, set, go!!
Oh and if I have commented on your piece with nothing more than, "Thank you for your entry", it does not mean that I hated your piece. It simply means that I have read it. This contest is going to have many entries. I cannot leave a lengthy comment on all of them. Those of you who got long comments were my first 5-10 that I judged.
