If I've crossed you out, it means you have entered. You can still always change your entry.
If I've hyphened you, it means I am sure you are aware of this contest.
Yeah, I must be mental.
I've been planning this for a round about 3 weeks now. This includes adding people, choosing prompts, putting you in groups [although last minute I got rid of them] and so on and so forth - none of which any of you are even remotely interested in. Admit it.
Anyway, a whole shit load of people on my favourites list write so scarcely that I'm not even sure it's a tease anymore. This is my chance to make you all get on your lazy arses and start writing.
I've chosen a whole lot - everyone on my favourites except a small few. You guys are going to write whether you like it or not. I should probably get to the point around now.
NOTES:
1. You can pick up your prompts in this column: http://allpoetry.com/column/show/2347397
2. This contest will be open for as long as ANYONE needs time. Yup, that's right - you ultimately should write. Everyone of you. I don't care if I have this contest running for 6 months, you must write.
3. If you want to break my heart and plan not to enter, you must tell me. This is the reason I don't like holding invite contests anymore - I must hear from you if you're not gonna enter. I can't hold everyone back unnecessarily.
4. Your prompts are not final. If you do not like yours [even after a lot of thinking I went through] you can ask for another one. And another. The key thing is that eventually, you are writing.
5. Once you have seen this contest and know that you have been invited - you MUST comment on this contest page. THIS IS IMPORTANT. Because this way I will know whether you have seen the contest yet or not!!!!!
6. If you have gotten a picture, although you get a small preview on the column, I would advise to click the link. It gives you a bigger picture as well as the title.
7. CREDIT is IMPORTANT. Add it in your author's notes!
I think that'll be all? I mean, you all are sensible people - that's why you are on my favourites.
Probable Point Allocation:
Gold: 1000
Silver: 500
Bronze: 250
HM: 100
I don't know how this will be done because AP has decided to only allow 5 HM's per contest. SO I will most likely end up with around 5 - 6 gold/silver/bronze trophies. And you can calculate the HM's. That's a round about 12000 points in total. That's why the points are low.
BEFORE any of you send me a whole load of points, know that I do not need them. I always have more than I need and have been using less of my points for this contest specifically.
So...
what are you waiting for?
Go.
do not forget to comment on this page!!!

Once upon a time
The memorial festered in my mind.
Give you a ring when this is all finish?
For love, it is never too late to mend,
Be in love with you never diminish.
Hope our obstacle will soon vanish,
Seriously, my heart was sunk in thought,
Memorize of you by day and by night.
Today Lynfield Community Church Sermon:
Occasion: Patrick Lam's Baptism
Theme: Christian Marriage
Readings: Psalm 45, Matthew 19:1-12
Love's a disease. But curable. Rose Macaulay 1881-1958: Crewe Train (1926)
Love is the delusion that one woman differs from another. H. L. Mencken 1880-1956: Chrestomathy (1949)
A conversation between a psychiatrist and her schizophrenic patient.
Doctor: Have you got any of the symptoms since you were last seeing me?
Patient: Yes. I am suffering from this delusion again.
Doctor: How did you feel after having this new medication?
Patient: It provided me with a clearer mind. But it is giving me that bloody headache sometime!
Doctor: From a scale of 1 to 10, tell me how close are you to the reality?
Patient: I really couldn't put a number to it. I thought my wife is still talking to me via the media. Could you please tell me her number? -
-

Wow you sure know me xD You pick a quote by one of my favorite authors. And pick a quote about one of my favorite things. Dreams. I'll try to come up with something good for you!

Hi Chandni, nice meeting you! I guess you have a minimum 20 lines requirement. I sure hasn't realised your column before I putting it here. I don't wanna get blocked by you but would love to share my loving feeling. The title "mental asylum" caught my eyes. Actually I got baptised today. So I thought why not sharing my love with a host nickname herself "never fall in love". Your profile is wonderful. I guess you must have done it using Macromedia fireworks. Sorry for the inconvinence. -

2. This contest will be open for as long as ANYONE needs time. Yup, that's right - you ultimately should write. Everyone of you. I don't care if I have this contest running for 6 months, you must write. - good for me then.
"Points are low". You're right, this is the mental asylum and you're the fucking patient! -
-
not good for you...

You know in my last contest how the points were so I'm not saying anything
-
-

-
I entered... go figure.

-
I've read.
I haven't written a poem since the last one I posted. I am not sure I can.
But for you.
I will try.
I will come back on tonight [hopefully] or tomorrow. And will stay till it's done.
Plus, I fell in love with the prompt you gave me.
You know me too well, even my moods
♥ -

I'm FINALLY done school stuff so now I have more time to write. (well, I'd have more time to write if I wasn't being called in to do full day shifts... but that's besides the point)

-
-
Too many good people here
I might cry.
You know I've re-written mine about 500 times, so now I'm gonna start again.
But I will enter and that's a promise!
-
I read somewhere the other day that contests that keep having the closing date forwarded will eventually be closed by the big guys, so you better start kicking some bottoms.
-
i will be here within 6 days, promise
-
-
you better be ♥
-
-
just for you bb. i'll come out of my cave.
-
-
-
Chandni! You still have me as Midnight Dreamer! xD
-
-
Justin! Don't worry! You know who you are!
-
-
you might as well close this. i'm slow as fuck
-
mine seems to have been deleted.
aww. .*. don't know why. -
31 entries...
but 32 crossed out??
13 no shows... kind of fitting;
realizing a 69 % turnout. Not so bad.
You're stubborn and tenacious...
whoa... a force to be reckoned with.
More power to you.
Sincerely, Mr. E. Russ
-
-
haha, for having it open for 7 months now, I should damn well have that turnout
and lol, nah, it looks perfect
-
-
PS. Does my bowtie make me look fat?
-
Wow... I had forgotten about this one it had been so long ... Needless to say I ended up deleting my entry before you judged.

Best wishes to all!!!
-
Thank you for the honorable mention. Congrats to the winners!
