God, Faith, Bitterness and Learning to Overcome

OKAY, it's ended now. So many wonderful entries, this is going to be difficult...in fact, TOO many entries so I had to set a limit!

(Most I enter myself have ten or less entries so I was NOT expecting to be so overwhelmed).

CONTEST RULES were SIMPLE but this was what I wanted:

KEY: This life vs. clinging to BELIEF, no matter how difficult.

This one was about God, Faith and Grace. NO specific religion, any God you believe in was fine!!!!

Form didn't matter, rhyme or non-rhyme.

I wanted to hear about YOUR version of God, how you have learned to deal with FAITH vs. this life, etc.

I wanted true belief and faith. In YOUR God and what He teaches you, how He makes you strong.

THESE CRITERIA will be the deciding factor in all entries. Faith, life and belief...no matter what your belief is.

Everyone will get kudos for entering. Thank you so much for entering and for making this a REAL contest!

*whew, hard work!*

I'll be having another soon, with God's help, along the same lines...and one that is light-hearted and humorous, doesn't matter what kind of humor, as you can see from some of my own stuff. Yuck! LOL

May God bless us, every one!

Contest is Over

  • Contest was judged on November 12, 2008
  • Rewards: Gold: 400, Silver: 200, Bronze: 100, Honorable mention: 5 people
  • Final notes:
So many wonderful entries, so hard to choose! My final judging was based on "did you give me what I asked or...YOUR God, of any religion; why you believe and how to maintain faith no matter what life deals you...make ME believe!". Sometimes it was a single, final line that took the poem out...sometimes it was that it was not what I asked for. If I could give HMs to anyone, I would have given about another dozen more. Thank you, so much! Debbie

    CONTEST HINT AGAIN...

KEY: This life vs. clinging to BELIEF, no matter how difficult.

NON-BELIEF in a Higher Power does NOT count (although I will comment still and be kind).

PLEASE give me faith in whomever YOU have faith in!
