Contest is Over

  • Contest was judged on November 16, 2008
  • Rewards: Gold: 444, Silver: 222, Bronze: 111, Honorable mention: 3 people
  • Final notes:
    thank you for your precious poetic offerings shared on the occasion of this contest ...
    I was contemplating the quote for a long time, and it revealed this message to me :

    "being nothing = disidentification with form = the end of suffering"

    or more poetically :

    "As soon as the seeker dissolves with the goal,
    and concepts of “I”, “me” and “mine” turn to naught,
    the Void smiles in Silence as bottomless Whole;
    and God is revealed as the Stillness I’d fought."

    thank you for your Presence,
    maa

    Atheism is when one is too young to fear death
    Just a thought, sorry I can't enter, as all my 160
    poems are in the "dreaded pre-write catagory" and I've run out of original ideas Best Wishes George
