Artist: Manuel Neri
Manuel Neri has taken up the existential quest of the beauty of the unfinished, the unfinishable. His sculptures have extremes of surface and texture that relate to their creative birth and their succeeding stages of 'death' (and perhaps rebirth) through the artist's continued re-working of the surfaces and form.

Essential Guidelines:
+ For the purpose of this contest please explore the theme
+ Left justify your poem on a solid background (edge background is optional)
+ No line limit but don't write en epic or get too wordy
+ Images are acceptable if they are Manuel Neri works of art
+ It is not necessary to write about Manuel Neri but to explore the concept of his work
+ You can relate it to what is personal for you as long as it remains on the theme
+ Don't explain beauty or existential quests in terms
+ Don't explain anything, just show it
+ The idea is to be inspired to apply the theme to your life and express it thru poetry
+ Don't over complicate it with big words or typical poetics
+ Be original, be yourself, be real (in other words no BS or copy cat crap)
welcome my co-judge: quietly burning
+ if for any reason you give me a hard time
then expect to be removed from the contest and
tossed into the "ignore" bin for recycling.
