Whether you call is Samhain, Samhainn or Samhuinn
it is coming upon us soon and I wish you all
a Blessed and Happy one!
For this contest I would like poetry about Samhain.
Your poem can be able the sabbat itself,
how you celebrate or what it means to you.
But it must be about Samhain...not Halloween.
(unless it is a poem about the differences between the two)

I am looking for traditions to shine through here.
If you celebrate a similar holiday this time of year your welcome to enter.
But no "Halloween" poems.
If you are not sure what Samhain is...google it!
I will allow prewrites if they apply to the contest.
Enter as many times as you wish, but make sure it fits the contest.
My pet peeve is unreadable fonts. If I have to highlight
to read it, I will DQ the entry.
Prizes may increse depending on the amount of entries.
I will not be giving points for 2nd and 3rd place unless I get at least 10 entries.
I usually do not comment on the entries until AFTER
the contest closes. But I will comment on them all prior to judging.
That's it, good luck.
If you are looking for some Samhain graphics,
see the list on my author's page. I'll add more this week.

I have seen soo many silly ghoulie halloween contests and yet till now none that really honour the true essence of this Time of Harvest. THANK YOU!!! I have not followed the Old Ways for quite some time now, but this particular Sabbat has always been special. As the Veil grows thinner, I hope to return with a befitting poem for this contest and those that truly appreciate it and it's origins. Blessed be in wyrld tongue. - A.G.

I'm so glad that someone made a contest such as this, thank you! I haven't written much lately (I'm browsing contests to help me find my muse) but I'll try to come up with something for this contest.
Blessed Be, and good luck! -
Congrats to all! =D
