I was almost 2 and dancing around my grandmother's kitchen. What do you remember, your earliest memory, from when you were very young or even not quite so young?
20 - 60 lines. Rhymes if you like. Or not.
A short poem about that Grandma:
We danced in the kitchen,
hand in hand.
She had dressed me
in my little blue pullover
over my dress.
When I think back,
she was the best Grandma
but, at the time,
I had no idea.
It was a lovely time
but sad now
because it's gone and
so is Grandma.
Or is it sad?
I have that beautiful
memory
Of Grandma, a good person
full of stories,
a maker of the best
chips you can imagine.

I hate ...
this kind of contest. My earliest memories are nothing I want to remember.
Hopefully you'll have a good turnout from those who actually have happy memories. -
You can remember from 2 years old?! wow

Thank you so much for hosting. I really loved this prompt and the result and it got me to talking with other family members about their earliest memory, too, which was fascinating. I enjoyed your Grandmother's story prompt, the little blue pullover. Clothes are such a jogger of memory sometimes.
