I took this picture while walking through a nature preserve and arboretum with a friend. (A bigger version of it is on my userpage-

All I saw around me the entire time was the beautiful creation that God made. I hope it inspires you!
THE RULES ARE SIMPLE:
1. I am a Christian, which should give you an indication of the kind of standards I expect in a poem, especially concerning language usage, content, etc. In essence, if you wouldn't write it in front of a pastor or in a church, don't write it here.
2. Your poem has to be between four and twenty lines, and between sixteen and two hundred SYLLABLES. (And yes, I WILL be counting them!)
3. As for FORM, I would REALLY prefer RHYMING FORM poetry- as in, I like a definite rhythm and rhyme to a poem. However, if you can give me prose descriptive enough to drool over, then go ahead and try me. If you plan to do a form poem, you can find some great examples at www.shadowpoetry.com !
THE REWARDS ARE WORTH IT:
Honourable mentions = 30; there are up to five of these
Bronze = 150 points
Silver = 200 points
Gold = 500 points
May the best poets... stop here and write something!
