I welcome you back to the infamous Cricket contest! For those who are unsure as to what the term of ‘cricket’ means (which was coined and defined by myself and Celticmoon) in lament terminology is a write that leaves one speechless, unable to grasp the folds of poetic reality….leaving nothing to be said.
In the past when Celticmoon and I first held the Cricket contest, not only was it a smash hit but a few –more than a few entrants left us beyond flabbergasted at the deliverance they’ve given.
The rules are simple, but very harsh….
1. Since it has been a while since hosting a Cricket contest, only writes that were/are written in 2008 will be accepted. NO OLD WRITES.
2. Under NO circumstances am I going to be polite about commentary. If your write impresses me, watch for the phrase of ‘Cricket’. Therefore, it will need to stay in the contest
3. If your entry was removed, there is NO second chance
4. Proper grammar, background/fonts are a must
5. Make sure your entry is categorized properly/accordingly
6. Keep in mind that availability for a spot will be there then gone just as quick. So make sure you get your spot
7. NO writes that talks about bashing/suicide type writes
8. Commenting will be done when it gets done
9. I will NOT read any entries that are over the forty [40] line mark!
10. IMPRESS ME!
11. Pre-written entrants CANNOT have had their entry in no more than TWO prior contest(s)- this reduces confusion.
Remember, it would take both of our votes of saying ‘Cricket’ to have your entry staying in the contest!
