Contest is Over
- Contest was judged on October 19, 2008
- Rewards: Gold: 600, Silver: 400, Bronze: 200, Honorable mention: 3 people
- Final notes: This was a fun contest to run - the words that I posted had mainly been taken from my own poetry and I was interested in where others would take them
The entries were all interesting and I enjoyed the judging process - the winners are:
Gold: switzerland - this poem has some fantastic concrete imagery, nicely crafted allusions, and the overall feel was of something that I felt everyone could gain from by reading!
Silver: On the Terrace - this poem was a gorgeous write of half-seen food for imagination, beautiful imagery, and an intriguing ending!
Bronze: no worries - a wonderful form poem - very nicely presented, with a smooth flow, and such a peaceful tone created with lovely images.
HM: Hoist the Colours! - a very fun pirate poem with lots of energy and a lovely adrenaline boost!
HM: Dependency - a poem with some really nicely crafted imagery, with a contemporary gritty feel that I enjoyed.
HM: Caustic Words - a very intense poem that provides a very good release of emotion and draws in the reader.
Thank you all for entering - I really enjoyed this contest - and I hope to see you all around in some of my other contests
Stay smiling everyone!
Pol
