OK, this is my first contest, and I would like you to write something inspired by one of the following quotes.
The depth of darkness to which you can descend and still live is an exact measure of the height to which you can aspire to reach.
I am alone here, in my own mind. There is no map, and there is no road.
We've all fallen, but we're not broken. There is the hint that we are going to get back up again.
All I wanted to do was collapse in someone's arms and cry today...but there was nobody to catch me.
There's a girl in my mirror crying tonight, and there's nothing I can tell her to make it all right.
It's so hard to dry your tears when, every time you turn around, there's another reason to cry.
Why do you care about me now, when I want to die, and not then, when I wanted to live?
If I were to kill myself tonight, who would remember me tomorrow?
Rules:
1. No bashing.
2. No erotica or adult content.
3. Label things appropriately, please.
4. You can enter more than once, but please leave a note in all poems after the first to let me know that you have, and also which poem was your first entry.
Pre-writes are allowed.
