I am [so] sorry to everyone who is waiting for it to be judged, basically, I'm traveling south east asia right now and internet connection is NOT what I expected it to be - mostly I am on dial up for a few minutes, perhaps 15 at most, and the connections drop frequently. However, now I am in Phuket at a nice hotel, and access to GOOD internet connection. I am installing a new method of responding to poems - 'no' means, no thank you. and 'yes' means to the final. Unfortunately this didn't quite break the goal I needed of over 2000 entries, although perhaps it's a good thing seeing as I wasn't online as much as I expected.
This contest began in November, finally closed on 31 Jan, and is judged today, 29th April - what a work out!
It's a pleasure to say that the contes received, originally, 1400 entries, though many have withdrawn already, perhaps after reading their comments and noticing that I didn't place them in the finalist list ... I'm sorry for that.
There were so many amazing entries - and choosing at the end was hard, alhtough, I'd had my first three places in my head all along; blown away by the first, and the memories it holds for me, Christmas Wonderland.
Second, Death and Denial; what a heartbreaking read, and a poem I've loved for some time.
Third, When Jesus Met Santa, this should be made into a storybook.
the HMs; sorry to the other finalists who did not place, it was hard to choose, I assure you.
And finally, I know [I've been told] that many of you disregarded the 3 poems each only rule, which disappoints me for the honour system, but it's my own fault as I didn't realise that I could limit the number of poems each person could put in, so I'm as much to blame for that.

awesome! i'm loving Australia so far, I moved here like a month ago - living in Sydney, and just wow, it's fabulous over here!

I've entered LOADS so yeah, you should have a load of interesting things to read haha, no seriously they're not that good as they're by me. But that's alright. Good luck judging this, you'll need it. There's bound to be nearly a thousand entries by the end of this!
