- Final notes: Just like to thank everyone for your entries and efforts, I originally wanted fresh writes for the contest, but didnt realise I had left prewrites open, by the time I realised there were already 20 entries
Also, within my contest notes, I stated that anything over 40 lines (not including blank lines) would not stand a chance of winning... there were a couple entered that exceeded this mark, so I viewed these poems but did not read them....SEEMS RULES ARE PUT IN PLACE FOR A REASON (this happens in every contest, do some of you even read the rules? )..
Also, as poets, we are students of language, yet how can one be a student when one does not even have the courtesy to SPELLCHECK their work ?? this defeats the point of writing words ?????? Being a poets all good, but when one doesnt even respect the medium you are using, seems to defeat the purpose.
Anyways, the winning entries were the ones I most enjoyed, that caused me to stop and ponder and marvel at the words written...
So once again, thank you for entering my contest...
