This would be my bestfriend, Michael. He's currently at boot camp for the United States Army and he's coming home on October 25, 2008. I will be closing this contest at some point AFTER he gets home. I'm going to ask him to pick his favorite and they'll be sure to get gold, silver, bronze, or an honorable mention. :]
Write about love, distance, friendship, passion, missing someone/something. Anything. Use good imagery!! Just MAKE MY HEART MELT and give me something that I can share with him.
-Haiku is fine, but not a favorite.
-Free verse is excellent.
-Prewrites are welcome but I prefer new entries :]
-Rhyming is also fine, but don't force it and over use it.
-please use proper grammar

- Final notes: This contest was fairly successful. I adored all the entries I recieved. I apologize if you were removed from the runnings, I wasn't sure if clicking "remove" would just take you off the preliminary or all together. EVERY ENTRY WAS AWESOME. It was hard to judge it as well :[
But I'm really glad I got to share others peoples views on distance and love with Michael. He really enjoyed reading them. Our mutual favorite won gold. But everyone did excellent and I wish I could have given everyone something (cliche, I know) but I don't have that many points. It'd also take away the feeling of winning.
