My first contest, please help !!! Allowing PW,s



My Dear Special Friend " Jasminerose "
will be helping me with the judging.
Thank you my precious friend for your
help.

Now allowing PW's because someone thinks
it will help with my frist contest.
I am learning

This is my first contest,
and most likely it will be my last, LoL
I am pretty new here on AP and I really
don't know anyone, I have only made two
friends so far. But that is mostly because
I am not on that much.
Anyway this seems to be a friendly site,
and I hope to meet more people soon.

In this contest, I am not sure what I am
looking for LoL [ I am not even to sure
what I am doing ] So feel free to write
anything you like. I am a pretty open person
and I love to read so you can write whatever
it is you, like to write.

Please follow all the site rules, whatever
they happen to be LoL. I have never been
good at following rules, so just do your
best. I don't have a lot of points, so I am
giving all that I do have. So there can
be only one winner, because that's all I
have points for. If I get
anymore I will add them later.

    Hi- welcome to ap- if you want to gather points, you comment on other peoples poems. You get different points for length of comment. People also give you point when you get clappy dudes.
    I'l enter this contest later when i'm not on my mobile.
    To get more entries, its usually better to give a subject to write about, so people can use it as inspiration. I hope i haven, told you something you already know!

    HI. As you can see I am Piccola. I've been on the site for four or five years. If you want a lot of entries, allow pre-writes, and/or allow more than one entry per poet. You might get flooded then though and maybe have more reading than you can do. You might want to give a style too so that people know what you like. For example, do you like rhyme or free-verse; do you want forms like haiku or rictameters ... will you allow erotica, cursing, etc. That way you avoid having to delete things too.
    Warn people to make sure and label an entry adult if it is of an adult nature. Most people know, but sometimes they forget.

      I didn't pick a topic for the contest,
      because I really love all kinds of poetry.
      As long as it is good writing, then I am
      open to anything.
      Maybe I should make that more clear in my
      contest. I think I'll go do that, right now LoL.

    Don't give up.

    I empathize with you. I joined AP this past September and found that some of my poems were ignored, not read or commented on, until I began commenting on the works of others. If your work is good, you’ll get praise once you get people to actually read it. So, what you need is exposure, and sponsoring a contest can do just that

    hello and wecome to all poetry, if your going to host a contest like this it's best not to have pre writes as i'm sure you will end up with hundreds of poems to judge wihch make it hard for you to comment on all of them, guess your hearing this a bit late sorry. anyway when starting a contest you can set a limit,

      Thanks so much for helping me. I am not sure what to do.
      Someone said to add prewrites, you say not to. I don't know if
      I am coming or going LoL. However I did set a limit to 40 and even
      that is a lot to me. I guess I will learn as I go on. ANyway this seems like such a friendly site. I have a lot of nice people that offer help, like you and a couple nice people even gave me some points. Again I thank you so much.
