I was given this assignment a while back when I was in school, and I think it's a lot of fun and a great writing exercise. Write a powerful or humorous short story in 55 words or less. NO GOING OVER!
Rules:
I think you guys know the basic rules of most contests. But here are a few that you absolutely cannot break-
1. No erotica/sex/cursing, etc. Keep it clean!
2. No bashing
3. Grammar people, please!
Two examples:
I’d been on vacation and I couldn’t wait to get back to work. As I walked in, Anthony’s face lit up. One of my favorites, he leaped into my arms. “Miss Kate! You’re back! Want to see my underwear? It’s Power Rangers!” Typical greeting from a four year old. Man, how I’d missed him!
__________________________________________________________________
“I’ll miss you.”
The words glared forebodingly black in the middle of the luminescent screen. Anguish, a moment’s disbelief, and then his fingers began to fly as quickly as his heart.
“Wait! I…” But she had logged off.
Later, dressed in black, those three words continued to echo in the pixelated hollow of his heart.

Overall a lot of quality entries, this was tough to judge! Blessings! <3 worshipchick
