Word of the Day IV

Here's how my Word of the Day contests work: I have a list of words that are unusual, uncommon, or just plain weird. You message me, I send you a word (along with its definition). Simple.

You have two choices:

1) Let the word be the title of your poem and write your poem with that word in mind.

2) The other option is to incorporate your weird word INTO your poem in some way. But be careful! Your poem should still flow. We don't want the word to stick out like a sore thumb.

(To see examples, you can check out my previous Word of the Day contests. The addresses are at the bottom of this page).

My rules are short and sweet:

- No sticky caps or net lingo.
- No prewrites, obviously!

Poems can be free verse or structured.

Some of the words may have multiple definitions. In order for your poem to be eligible, you need to use the definition I sent you (or one of the definitions, if I sent more than one). However, feel free to research your word for cultural significance, origins, etc.

You can only post one entry per word. If you'd like to post another poem, simply IM me for another word.

Points:
1st- 300
2nd- 100
3rd- 50

NOTE: You can view my first Word of the Day contests at the below addresses. Reading some of the entries may help you get started (try reading the winners and the honourable mentions).

I guess I need to make a personal request. Please send me a word. I will attempt to find the world in it.
