Okay, new contest! Pick a number, any number, from 0 on up. No limit. Reserve a spot and wait for a title or quote, and then write a poem based on that title or quote. If you get a title, it is going to be most likely a book or poem title, it doesn't matter if you haven't read it, just write a poem based on what you think of that title.
There is no length limit, and I don't care if it's rhyming or unrhyming, but I'm expecting good quality from both. I like thoughtful, metaphorical poems that don't state what they mean baldly.
I won't comment on the poems until it's actually time to judge them, I feel it's fairer that way.

Contest is Over
- Contest was judged on October 25, 2008
- Rewards: Gold: 300, Silver: 200, Bronze: 100
- Final notes: \I loved reading all the entries. They ranged from short to long, cryptic to open, peaceful to macabre...I loved them all. And almost everyone finished their poems, which made me happy, because I only had to remove one entry.
Anyways, thank you for entering!
