I want poems that were written specifically for another contest. These poems MUST have been written based off of a WORD--quote, phrase, one word, etc..--prompt(not a picture). You may not enter a poem if it won a medal (gold, silver, or bronze) in the contest it was written for. Make sure when you enter the poem in my contest that you include the original prompt in your author's notes. I will be judging based on which poets did the best job writing to the prompt. I want to see poems that you think deserved to place, but didn't. Thanks, and good luck!!!!
No erotica
No crazy cussing
Nothing anti God or religion
Anthing else goes!
I will DQ poems that don't qualify, so don't use this as a dumping ground for just any prewrite.
REMEMBER, PLACE THE ORIGINAL PROMPT IN YOUR AUTHOR'S NOTES
AND NO PICTURE PROMPTS JUST WORD PROMPTS.

Contest is Over
- Contest was judged on October 29, 2008
- Rewards: Gold: 500, Silver: 400, Bronze: 300, Honorable mention: 9 people
- Final notes: So...it took me a while to read and judge all the entries in this contest. Thank you for your patience! As a reward, I added a bunch more points to the three top spots, as well as nine honorable mentions. All the entries that were not DQ'd were worthy of note, but the ones on the finalist's list really spoke to me in some way. I tried to base my choices on those who spoke most appropriately to the prompt. It was hard!!!! Hope you enjoyed the contest, and congrats to the winners.
