We have had many contests where there was a theme or a photo prompt or you were required to enter a certain poem number ...these all place limitations on what we enter whether it be a new poem or a prewrite so...

I personally would like to read one of every member's really wonderful and outstanding poetry, and I know you all have one you consider the very best. At least one...soooo


For this contest I have only one rule..well, maybe two... or three

1.   PREWRITES ONLY

2. Enter what you consider to be your VERY BEST EVER poem. No matter when you wrote it or why.

3. Only one (1) poem per member...

Then we will all vote on the best of the best...see who wins the gold and who came close..


Since this is going to be all prewrites it will not take long to enter this contest therefore the contest is going to be short but ...then we are going to give you some extra time to read and vote.. Since we have some huge decisions to make we need time to read and perhaps reread what has been entered...before we cast our vote.

So get busy and go back and find that perfect poem and enter...we should end up with one entry per member...sign your name and make sure to date your poem so we know when you wrote it. Look how much fun it will be for you to go back and re read some things you wrote eons ago and have not read since they were posted...

I am looking forward to getting to know you all a little better by reading the poem you enter which then will entice me and give me a reason to explore your 'page' and read more..Hopefully every one will do the same.

There will be the usual points awarded plus some bonus points to be decided later...

I PROMISED EXTRA POINTS SO  HERE'S HOW IT'S GOING DOWN...

EVERYONE WHO ENTERS WILL RECEIVE AN EXTRA 100 POINTS.

    This has been a wonderful contest in which to read all of the great entries. You are all super poets. I wanted to award everyone a trophy but the system will only allow 5 HM's now.

    But I will be sending each of you the 100 bonus points I promised so watch for them in your system notes.

    Partners contest

    So far we have eight absolutly wonderful poems entered in my contest..Each of them leaves me in awe of the talent here on AP...Now it is almost time for the contest to end...it is an esy contest...no new poems are required...in fact they are not allowed as stated in the heading of the contest...THE BEST OF THE BEST of ones you have written in the past... all you have to do is look through your PRE WRITTEN poetry and find one you really like and hit the prewrite link and voila' you are entered...How hard can that be...

    I am going to give extra points to all of you so if that is an incentive go for it...if not...go for it any way...okay, signing off so tomorrow morning when I get up to celebrate my 70th birthday I hope to see at least double of the entries in here now...hear that partners...16 entries by Sunday morning..here in Florida...
