Contest is Over
- Contest was judged on October 13, 2008
- Rewards: Gold: 300, Silver: 200, Bronze: 100, Honorable mention: 2 people
- Final notes: Well, I am going to have to say that this contest turned out a lot better than I could have hoped! I loved all the entries and it was difficult to choose. I sat in front of my computer for nearly two hours reading and rereading every poem submitted. Congratulations to all the winners, and to those that didn't place - oh, how I wish I could have placed them!
As I said before, this was a hard contest to judge, I loved them all. If you would like to add your name to the AN, I would love to watch for your new poems!

Dear artist,
Lovely drawing you got there for the contest. Excuse me but my eye-sight was poor. Could you briefly descript your drawing. Like for instant what's that statue inside the drawing? What plants are surrounding the pathway? Where is this "cave". Are there any hidden creature or items? Thanks.

The drawing in centered around a pathway of stone steps (well, slabs of rock) leading up to a cave, most likely natural because of the stalagmites and stalactites. To the right of the cave is a statue based off of an Olmec stone head from South America, with vines wrapping around it. To the left of the path is a tree, no certain type, all you can really tell that it’s a gnarly/twisted tree trunk, and again with vines around it. The area around the cave in the background is made up of boulders. All around the path is covered with bamboo-like plants and some small flowers (all of which have five pedals except for the large one on the left side of the path, which has six). These flowers and some grass can be found growing from the boulders that make up the background as well. They are not based off of any actual flower. There are no hidden creatures or items drawn into the picture (much to hard to do with dots =P). Because of the statue, the scene is very likely in South America, however, I was vague enough with it that it could also be in Africa (or even possibly Asia). But despite where it is, its defiantly within forest. Jungle or subtropical can’t really be determined.
Sorry, that was a bit lengthy… I hope it answers your questions….
