Simple Free Verse Poetry

My poetry preference is simple:

I don’t care for cliche at all - it makes me groan, (not
in a good way), and rub my eyes.  Cliche is just lazy writing
in my opinion, and extremely boring.

I don’t care for poetry that is so abstract I don’t know
which end is up or down. I don’t want to spend my time trying
to figure out what is being said. I want to connect with the
words, not untangle them.

I don’t care for poetry that requires a dictionary on stand-by.
I’m all for polishing up, but I’m more comfortable in jeans.

Your challenge is to write a simple free verse poem about
one of the prompts below. Choose only one.

I will judge according to the above preferences.

There is no line limit, but stay within a reasonable length.

Good grief - in the time it took me to find this and dash off a quickie, four entries have appeared from nowhere. K-C your contests fill up so quickly!
