Rapture

So I'm doing my third contest now. This one is going to be on The Rapture. Not rapture as in bliss, but rather the end of the world and the following judgement of souls at least according to some Christian faiths. I myself am not particularly religious, so you don't have to be nice about god. If you want to just write about the end of the world you can, but I would prefer some sort of religious involvement. Here's an example of my take on The Rapture

Burnt Rapture

Twisted shapes plummet to the ground
With smoking craters all around
Misshapen faces and broken wings
Angels to herald the end of all things.

Fear and panic reign over all
As fire and sluphur begins to fall
Grotesque angels shrieking in glee
Pronouncing judgement on the guilty

A trail of fire floats through the sky
An angels scream "gaze upon with thine eye"
With rapture glowing on their face
The angels fade in bombs embrace

Reap what you have knowingly slown
Human evil caused angels misgrown
The end of all is not godly disaster
No flood this time from your master

The sky shall be torn and the earth shall be rent
With all of humanity's greedy intent
Bombs and heaven begin to fall
Brought about by man, it's the end of all.

So rules and such...Please don't use chat or l33t. It kind of annoys me. So does all caps and sticky caps. Spelling is important. Everyone is entitled to their own beliefs so please respect them. Other than that, go forth and create...or destroy as the case may be.

weird, I got back from class today and decided the world was ending and people needed to realize it so I was going to have a poetry contest.
I don't think it's necessary though, this seems to be something on everybody's mind...
