Fav Me

I tried this a few months ago but due to personal issues in my life was not able to complete the contest. So here I shall try it again. The contest will be open for 10 days. and hopefully by the beginning of October I will have a few new names to add to my favorites. So basically What I want is I want everyone to enter thier best poem. The poems that I like will be added to the finalest and the best 3 will be given awards. Anyone added to the finalest will be added to my friends list at the completion of the contest.

The Rules: You break them and your poem will be removed without warning.

#1 No bashing religion, the military, or the other poets.
#2 No freshwrites Its not your best if it hasnt been written yet.
#3 NO DP

Also I'm not a fan of dirty-pretty, hardcore erotic, or violent poetry so it better be really good if you are goig to enter it.

Contest is Over

  • Contest was judged on October 8, 2008
  • Rewards: Gold: 1500, Silver: 750, Bronze: 375, Honorable mention: 9 people
  • Final notes:
I'm sorry it took me so long to judge this contest. I had intended on commenting on all of the pieces but it was taking me to much time. Having lost nearly 20entries including 3 finalist due to impatience I decided to go ahead and just judge without commenting on all of the pieces. The finalist were chosen no only on the quality of the poem but in the style that they wrote with. Trying to find poets whos style closely follows mine being a large part of the purpose of this contest. I can honestly say there there were only 2 "bad" poems in the contest and I recieved over 75 entries. A few people were eleminated for not following the rules set down in the introduction. Thank you for your patience and if youd like please swing by and check out the poems of the finalist.
