The News Channel: AllPoetry Style

Hey everybody and welcome to my fifth contest.

This contest is all about the news. It's everywhere around us and it can be a great muse for poets to get new ideas for their poems/songtexts.

So send in a poem/lyrics about an event (or events) that happened in 2008. If you think your subject will not be clear to me, please put the subject in your AN (not obligatory).

I don't care what style or form.
I prefer rhyme, but I'll judge fair and square.
I allow pre-writes, because I always enter contests with pre-writes, so why should I not allow PW's?

If you do not send in a poem that meets the criteria, then I'll message you and you can send in another poem.

If you want to make fun of certain people, fine with me, but don't flame on people or give hate speeches. I will DQ you if you cross the line (and I'm very tolerant).

Rules:
- Stick to poems and lyrics that are about th news.
- No WrItInG lIkE tHiS. It's annoying.
- Other usual rules apply.

    first of all I want to thank you, hard-working poets to bring the news in true AllPoetry Style.
    I've seen great poems with all kinds of emotions and social critique. But I can only choose five poets who will get points.

    If you didn't win, it doesn't mean you're a bad poet. Someone else out there in the worldwide internet will absolutely adore your poem.

    So, thanks again for entering and hopefully I'll see you next time.
