This contest is to celebrate Pre-Write Appreciation Day. I am a little bit late but no matter I will hold it today instead. I held this contest last year and decided to hold it again this year. Pre-Write Appreciation Day is September 14th. I meant to hold this contest on the 10th and end on the 14th, however that didn't happen due to poor planning. Nonetheless, enjoy!
This contest is different then the last, as allowing as many pre-writes as the author wanted turned out to be taxing, and as such I am only allowing one pre-write per author. I suggest choosing the one you like the best, this contest is after all about appreciation and not winning.
You can enter any style and any type, in any category, that you feel is your best work. I would like it very much if people read each others poetry, however this is not required nor "enforced" as it were. It's just a nice thing to do.
Here are the trophy's and points:
Gold: 1,000
Silver: 400
Bronze: 47
Please enjoy and remember to have fun! This contest is all about appreciating the poetry of others and getting to see the different styles!

Contest is Over
- Contest was judged on October 8, 2008
- Rewards: Gold: 1000, Silver: 400, Bronze: 47
- Final notes: You all wrote quite well, and I appreciate your poems so much. I thank you for writing and sharing your poetry, and finally for entering this contest.
I will be holding another contest next year for Pre-Write Appreciation Day, this contest was originally held in 2007 when I decided Pre-Writes were not getting as much credit as they deserve.
Please join me next year, 2009, for the next contest. I look forward to seeing you all then, and if you notice the contest is not started by September 10th, 2009 then let me know and I will start it up.
I apologize deeply for keeping you all waiting, and once more thank you ALL for writing and sharing your poems and entering them into this contest.
Jeffrey.

Thank you so much for the gold, I really did not expect it. I am glad you enjoyed my poem! It is my favorite that I have written. I feel like it describes me more and more everyday (me being the robot). I poured a lot of emotion into it and I am happy you were able see that

Also, I was totally picturing the robot as a guy. O.o;
