Thank you 'Just Me" for the honor. So it is my pleasure to host this PIF contest, the Gold Winner will receive an extra 500 points to host the next pay forward.
The theme is ... Wind
or the photo art above .
So what might wind mean to you...
No word limit but a shorter burst of wind is preferred, twenty lines more or less would be a useful rule of thumb.
Any style or form is fine.
Judging will reward creativity, expression, and depth of thought. Judging will also reward brevity, use of metaphor, and imagery.

- Final notes: The contest Wind is over, my thanks to all who entered. There were many more worthy poems than medals here, I enjoyed reading these well written works. The wind has taken many poetic shapes and forms in these entries, so very creative and imaginative as I had hoped, and some simply beautiful poetry too.
My selections for awards are as follows:
Fussilade of feelings fraught. – Gold
This poem shows creativity and skill. The stanzas have distinct moods varying according to the part of the overall message they carry…like a wind changing direction like a wind of change… a remarkable use of structure. Excellent.
uprise – Silver
Brevity and precision here in this small poem seems there were so many more words than actually on the page, very skillful, very expressive. Excellent
Winded Seasons – Bronze
A beautifully crafted Sapphic Ode wind takes on many faces in imagery so very well done and the form and meter are exacting, the lyrical…melodious feeling of the piece seem to rise from the short verses in the form, but the overall flow is wonderful. So very well done.
quiet - Emerald
In many ways my favorite poem here, the wind is missing, disappointing and the scene takes on the aspect of the still air, shapes and appearances…the wind in so many ways simply not there. Remarkable, a simply beautiful poem.
Stone Drawn Smooth - Emerald
A wonderful precise writing, few simple open words carry the big ideas of this poem, a connection between nature and man, the idea of oneness or sameness with all of nature. So very well done.
Wind - Emerald
wonderful writing here, great use of expression and contrasts, the imagery speaks to emotions, feelings, our relationship with the natural world all around us. Very well done.
