To know what saudade means, read this column or the link posted there, or both...
Write a poem or prose where the word saudade (or one of its meaning) fits as well as it would fit in a poem written in Portuguese.
Entries may be written in English, Portuguese, French, Dutch or Spanish, but NO internet translations!!!
Have fun!

Contest is Over
- Contest was judged on September 20, 2008
- Rewards: Gold: 1000, Silver: 500, Bronze: 300, Honorable mention: 2 people
- Final notes: Thank you all for writing about what the word saudade made you feel.
I enjoyed all the entries and some are very special and personal to me.
A trophy doesn't mean much, not for me anyway, and the absence of one doesn't mean that I didn't like the entry. There are more entries deserving a cup, but this time I chose to stick to the original amount of HM.
Thank you!
Mari

You do know that the word is just screaming to be told in prose. Good, 13 days, time to research a story, not that I'll be entering or even posting it.
