Winner Takes All: 1000 POINTS!!!

Welcome!

I'm Lily Skie- for those of you that don't know.
I've recently been enrolled in the Honors English
program at my school, and I am extremely proud of
myself! Yes, I just gave myself applause

Anyway.

I'd like to read some fresh writes. I have a lot
of points on the line, so I want good, creative
poetry
. I am tired of reading garbage. [Hate to
sound harsh, but all the cliche topics are really
tedious...]

PLEASE READ THE RULES!!!!

A.) Reserve a spot and I will give you a topic to
write about!

B.) Use proper English and grammar! If I see anything

improper in this category, I will give you a warning.
If your poem isn't fixed within twenty-four hours, your
poem will be disqualified. NO EXCEPTIONS

C.) Place "Lacuna Coil" in you Author's Notes so that
I know that you've read these rules!

NOTES:

I am not a fan of rhyme at all.

I like deep poetry with a LOT of metaphors.

I like poetry that revolves around abnormal things.

I do not give harsh critique because I believe all poetry

is beautiful- no matter how cliche or terribly written-
because it comes from your heart. It is an expression, an
emotion, and emotions cannot be critiqued.

You have until the 18th

Good luck

-Lily

Contest is Over

  • Contest was judged on September 13, 2008
  • Rewards: Gold: 1000
  • Final notes:
This contest was so hard to judge! If I could, I would give everyone a place to win! Congratulations to the gold winner of 1000 points. That was the poem that truly spoke to me. Congratulations to those who placed as well, for they were severely close to that 1000 Thanks again, and I hope to see you all in future contests of mine.

Do what you will with your topic!
Don't feel the need to base your
entire poem around it. You can mention
it once for all I care! Just remember:

    Be ABNORMAL

    Just so everyone knows:

Starz of Heaven asked a great
    question: the line limit? There
is none, but know this: if your
poem is longer than thirty lines,
chances are I won't read the whole
thing. Just keep that in mind.

    Peace
