When looking for a picture prompt, this lovely girl attracted my eye to the scene and her delicate young age.
With the world ahead of her, and enjoying the scene and summer I would like you to flow with that imagination, and share her thoughts.
I want imagery, metaphors and any poetic devices to make your poem attractive and not just what one sees as they look at her but what she may be thinking or experiencing.

Contest is Over
- Contest was judged on September 18, 2008
- Rewards: Gold: 300, Silver: 150, Bronze: 100, Honorable mention: 11 people
- Final notes: My dear contestants...You have given me a first class selections of writes on this wonderful painting, from a realm of so many varieties of thoughts as you looked and felt this girl of wonder viewing the sea!
So many varied themes in your poetry that made it a pleasure to read..
I had just what I asked, imagery, poetic devices of metaphor, and excellent vocabulary, and the heart for this lovely girl at her time of life and what she was leaving behind and going into her future!
I will not say it was easy making the decisions..for it had to be poetic devices, and the personal pull of each poem to my heart. This is equally full of merit!
Excellence is what came to me as I read your works...Please continue to write...You all have such promise!
I wanted to put you all down in order of preference in the honorable mention after I included you all in it, but I could not on the contest move you..You just sat there in order of you entering on your date..
So be patient with me, I will have another contest before long and be more experienced in judging.
Do participate again, I thank you all so much for your wonderful poems, and do enter again!
Gold..."I'll Never Forget This Summer"
Silver.."One Last Look"
Bronze..."New Beginnings"
Honorable Mention to all the rest of the participants
Hopefully seeing you again in another contest of picture prompt!...Rose Angelxxoooo
