HUGUENAUTY CONTEST No #36 FOR HUGH WYLES FAVOURITES GROUP ONLY.

HUGUENAUTY CONTEST No #36 FOR HUGH WYLES FAVOURITES GROUP ONLY.

Set a Buffet---loaded with all your favourite foods,
but, particularly, with those special to your region.

Hopefully we all can learn about foods that, perhaps,
are not commonly available to all of us, along with a bit
of their histories or lore, plus preparation tips.

(Optional: You could include descriptions of your guests
if you'd like or the table decorations or party conversation! )

Rules:

1. No black backgrounds, please.
2. Rhyming poems are appreciated but any form is acceptable.
3. Maximum of two entries per participant. No prewrites.
4. All entrants need to vote for their choice for first, second and third place stating name of author and title of poem within 48 hours after contest closes. Please note: Contest will close September 22nd (plenty of time for you to submit your poem). Please send your vote by IM to huguenauties, not to me or King Hugh.
5. Officials may enter but cannot win. Their entries will include "NON-ENTRY" in the title and are not included in the voting.
6. This contest is NOT anonymous. Please sign your name at the end of each entry.

Winner of the GOLD trophy will return 300 points to huguenauties for future contests. The winner will host the next contest which will begin September 1, 2008.

There will be three Honourable Mentions.

BEST OF LUCK to all who enter! I'm looking forward to reading some beautiful poems and enjoying some delicious food! Have fun!

LOL, sounds like fun....especially the guests part. I could really run with that.

Mine would have Spam, saltines, bologna, ramen noodles, slim jims, vienna sausages, little Debbie snacks, kool aid...all that really classy stuff.

I said I "could" run with it, not that I "would."

I still have about six days to plan my meal. Such a big feast...takes 5 caterers...and...If I enter it near the deadline there is less chance I'll delete it.

Yeah, I'll see if I can create something light and fluffy to serve...Maybe a nice Yemish casserole, with just a hint of Ima, maybe a sprig of Keystone and a dash of Horse-shoe...wait it sounds like I am creating a Golem...

              Light and fluffy?
              And full of irony
              to keep it grounded?

              Whipped Moxie, perhaps?

                Whipped Moxie...oh the possibilities!

Light and fluffy and full of irony would be nice...right now I seem to be in a silly vein, so light and fluffy and full of bull is more like it.

                  Now that's the Yem
                  we love!!!!!
                  A silly vein
                  in the gold ore...

Hi, Margaret. Hugh had found a photo of a larger buffet,
with great variety, but it had a huge platter of dull colored beans
in the foregound! Since I was not as lucky as he to find a big pic
of a large buffet, the veggie girl, here, found some carved relishes
that more pleased my aesthetic eye!

      Strking new avatar you have!!
