One of my favorite bands is "Great Big Sea" from Newfoundland.
Take inspiration from this lyric from GBS:
So we'll talk about the weather,
cause there's not much else to say
How did we get from saying 'I love you'
to 'I'll see you around someday'
and write a poem about a break-up. I'm sure some of the romantic poets out there can do something with this theme. Stay true to the theme in the lyric.
