What The Heck Are Pigs Lugs?

This will hopefully be a fun contest, as well as a learning experience

The other day my Scottish sweetie (Mairi Bheag) gave me a list of common foods in Scotland.

I had no idea what “pig’s lugs” or “yum-yums” were.  She even made me Google
Irn Bru (a very popular soft drink - more popular than Coke! Gasp!)

All this gave me an idea.

In any form you choose, write a poem about one of your favorite ‘local’ foods.

Since this is an international poetry site, I expect to see some interesting entries.

Rules:

The hungrier you make me, the better your chances are of winning

I will allow images of the food you have chosen to write about

NO recipes - this is a poetry contest not a cooking contest

In your author notes let me know where you live

I will judge using the ‘thumb’s up’ system
3 thumbs is the highest rating

Have fun

    Whats pigs lugs

I'm sure that you have your answer by now but just in case, pigs lugs are pigs ears and Irn Bru is Iron Brew, a flavored drink that when spoken with a scotish accent sounds just like you wrote it.

OK, I think we can count on something from me along the lines of "Twa plain pehs ananinginganeanaw"

        You can say that again

Oh the pleasure some people miss of never hearing the beautiful lilt of a Scotish accent as it trips across the glen.
        Regards
        TC
