music: poetry of the air

Use either the picture or the quotes as inspiration,
or just let your words sing and make music:

give me the poetry of the air, something meaningful,
curl my back, move me...

~ poem must include some reference to music
~ left align;  plain background
~ apply poetic device
~ no lyrics or acrostics
~ free verse only

Please welcome Namita as my co-judge.

                                                             Music is continuous.
It is only we who turn away.

                                                                                   Henry David Thoreau

Are we not formed, as notes of music are,
for one another, though dissimilar?

Percy Bysshe Shelley

Music was my refuge.
I could crawl into the space between the notes
and curl my back to loneliness.

Maya Angelou, Gather Together in My Name

                                                             Music is the mediator
between the spiritual and the sensual life.

                                                                                Ludwig van Beethoven

Just as Jesus created wine from water,
we humans are capable of transmuting emotion into music.

Carlos Santana

Music is love in search of a word.
                                                                                      Sidney Lanier

    A lovely contest!

I have never written free verse, I would love to try. Could you give me a link to explain how free verse poems are formed please.

I wouldn't want to mess it up

I already have a few notes jumping up and down to be recorded on paper...♪
