Poetic Form: Quatern - Prompt - Spirit

In my continuing series of form contests here is my next set. The title is the form to use and the prompt for your entries. If you do not follow the prompt and the form your entry will be removed

Quatern

A Quatern is a sixteen line French form composed of four quatrains. It is similar to the Kyrielle
and the Retourne. It has a refrain that is in a different place in each quatrain. The first line of
stanza one is the second line of stanza two, third line of stanza three, and fourth line of stanza
four. A quatern has eight syllables per line. It does not have to be iambic or follow a set rhyme
scheme.

  • Rewards: Gold: 300, Silver: 200, Bronze: 100, Honorable mention: 3 people
  • Final notes:
Thank you all for your patience in my judging and for entering my contests. I usually don't give HM's for these contests but the entries were exceptionally well this go around and just had to add three. You should consider these not just arbitrary HM they mean something in this contest

Congratulations to the winners and thank you all. You all did superbly well. Many of you perhaps this being your first try at this form, or any form for that matter. I enjoyed every entry. The ones who placed followed the prompt, form and all other requirements to a tee and added something extra.

    Thank you and God Bless
    Tammy

Oh, this is just brilliant! I adore the quatern form. I will admit that I have quite a few prewrites concerning the style, but I don't think any of them cover the prompt - the spirit.

I shall deffinately bookmark this and come back to enter once I can get my Muse jumpstarted.
