or not come back to finish your write after reserving a spot,

 you will be banned from the SO' contest in the future...no exceptions -

 

If you Reserve, you must have your SS entered 12 hours after you take a spot...

    ...you will have plenty of time to come back and edit and fine-tune your work,

        before, a Judge touches your entry -

 

If you want to win the SOM contest,

     bring the most Original & Creative Theme, and pen it wisely,

             in Short Story Format ONLY -

 

We do NOT provide Phrase or Graphic Prompts,

        and we do NOT allow Fancy Backgrounds, or Borders to enhance your write...

             ....we expect you to work with your Imagination,

                                       White Background, and ONLY Black Font -

 

 

* Place Theme or Topic in Authors' Notes -

* Place *SOW Contest* in your Authors' Notes -

* No Editing After A Judge Has Touched Your Work -

* CAPPING every line is NOT allowed, unless required -

*SOW* is 500 points for Gold, plus ( 3 ) HM's -

*SOM* is 1000 points for Gold, plus ( 3 ) HM's -

*SOY* is 90% of all left-over points from the year -

 

We will be looking for FRESH Fictional writes,

                                          ...."specifically" for these contests!

    As Julie has mentioned, not a lot of entries, but great talent spilling from the three of you who did enter.....thank you!

    Thank you Julie for such wonderful reviews.....I am so encouraged by what I read in your coments......heck, you even teach me a thing.....or two ~

    Julie and I are planing a revision, of sort, to the SO' Contest Series......as you all well know, this is a Poetry Site, and we are sure Poets may be a tad reluctant to try their quills at SS's......but no worries....we are sure the SO' Contests will remain on AP and prosper when the time is right

    Ok.....your Gold Winner earned 185.35 points out of a possible 200 points available.....nice job Tim!

    You are a Gifted Writer......we were blessed to receive such great talent from you......and we would like to know if you might consider volunteering on the Judges Panel in the up and coming weeks...I shall be involved in a month-long move back to Arkansas, and time, even now, is very scarce....and Julie could use someone well-versed and familiar with proper SS Format.......think about it ~

    One Question

    I was wondering if I could like write a chapter or something to a long story that I was going to start writing. Or like a fraction of that chapter. So I was wondering if I could do that as well instead of trying to turn the whole thing into a short story.

    An excellent exercise. I am already looking forward to the next one. In some ways, this opportunity to write some prose is better for me than the poetry contests.

    Thanks for the Bronze and for all of the comments received...I hope to take them in and perhaps learn how to write a short story very soon...congrats to the other winners, this has been inspiring for me lol
