Tskhinvali/Georgia

Your poetry on the conflict in South Ossetia.

1. Do not enter prose.
2. I'm unlikely to reward trite rhyming.
3. White text on plain black backgrounds only.
4. Intelligent comment welcomed.

301 points. More if deserved.

Contest is Over

  • Contest was judged on October 30, 2008
  • Rewards: Gold: 301
  • Final notes:
    Disappointing, as usual.
Some insight, comment, humour, or good poetry would have been nice. Hell, some basic knowledge of grammar or the topic would have been a start. Just two pieces succeeded in anyway and win the trophies.

Is this what's going on in Georgia? My brother is being deployed to there this weekend to bring relief aid.

i entered 'Born To You' a bit ago, written a few days ago, things are so fluid there, its hard to know what's going to be happening when this contest closes in 2 weeks. i just hope the bloodshed is over by then.
