More Grim than the Brothers Grimm.

What I want you to do here, is pick one of these fairie tales and re-write it.

Rules: (Revised)
1- It has to be either a Horror story, something Dark, demented, twisted, or just a completely horrendous spin to our old favorites.

2- Your entry must be AT LEAST 25 lines long to even be considered.

3- NO HAIKU. Poems can be in any form and/or rhyme scheme, and in any version of free verse, as long as no other rules are broken.

4- NO bashing other poets, and no complaining about the rules.

5- CHOICE MUST BE PUT IN AUTHOR NOTES. Thank you.

(Not all of these stories are from the Brothers Grimm either. I took some titles from Hans Christian Anderson as well as a few other places.)

8- Sleeping Beauty

10- Godfather Death.
11- Tom Thumb
12- the fisherman and his wife.
13- The Bremen town musicians
14- *(Reserved)* the youth who went forth to learn what fear was
15- the three little men in the wood
16- *(Reserved)* the emperors new clothes
17- The Swan Princess
18- The Princess and the Pea
19- Thumbellina
20- *(Reserved)* The Elf of the Rose

Ok, this is what I want.

You notice how there are 20 titles to chose from?
I am allowing 20 entries. You chose a number, and enter a BLANK RESERVE poem with the number of the title you want.
I will respond to your reserved entrie.

Then, let the pen flow.

    I love the idea here, and it made me chuckle slightly. Mainly because most of the original fairy tales had horrible twists to them.

      Thats kind of the point to this contest. The original Brothers Grimm tales were very morose and macabre, until companies like Disney got ahold of them and dumbed them down. I want to see something similar to the original here, only in a shorter form, of course.
