The Lord Most High

Whenever a person gets trapped in troubles, and all the powers of the world get exhausted, when all the doors get shut and there is no way out, and all the hope starts extinguishing, then one ray lights up and ray is THE HOPE and that HOPE is GOD.

What ever may be the era, who ever may be the person, there are many instances in the life of all creatures, that they tend to feel the PRESENCE OF GOD. Creatures may be ungrateful to God, but whenever they seek God, God always comes to help. It has been rightly said that:

If God will not listen to the sinners,
Then who else will listen to them....

In this contest I request dear poets at allpoetry to express in poetry their gratitude towards Our Lord Most High, who is the greatest help for all the creation.

Rules of the contest:

1. Use good language,
2. Nothing adult or erotica,
3. nO sUcH tIpE oF eNtRy or SUCH ENTRY,
4. 1 poem per person,
5. Be original and no pre-writes.

All the best to all who participate.

Contest is Over

  • Contest was judged on August 20, 2008
  • Rewards: Gold: 300, Silver: 150, Bronze: 50, Honorable mention: 2 people
  • Final notes:
Great is the Lord of the world,
Who gave us all that we neaded,
His grace is the only reason,
The charm for all His creation,
    The politeness despite being Great,
Who enlightened with glory our fate,
His bounty that he showered on us,
Made ourselves prostrate to Him thus,
Among His greatest gifts He showered,
That nothing in return He desired,
He said to all to know and obey Him,
He'll fill empty buckets upto the brim,
Thus most difficult task for us all,
To thank Him for His blessings at all,
It is but His mercy that being unable,
We could express gratitude at this table,
The platform of allpoetry reflects light,
When the poets devote words of delight,
Greatful is Aun Ali for all the faithful,
    Who decorated this contest colourful,
Expressions for God cannot be measured,
Your words will always be treasured.

Thanks to all the poets for their entries and all the best.

Thanks my dear sister for this comment. It would be my privilege to recieve your entry in this contest.

Tedious is the task to praise Thee Almighty,
Though Thy might is the greatest cure,
O Lord, upon my pen release thy bounty,
Thy help is the greatest help, i'm sure.

Tell it gal! I love God contests, but you are the first time that I have seen a person express what they feel, and I find it very refreashing. The world needs more of that.
    God Bless, Larkbird
