PIF – Semi-Quickie; Subjugation of Men (Picture Prompt)

I won imahealer’s PIF/ Postcard/50 words exactly/10 poets (http://allpoetry.com/contest/2415353) and so I am only too happy to return the favor and pay it forward…


Prompt is the picture... not the contest title. For you ladies or curious men, I did have to crop it to sanitize it for AP use … but there are no additional strings attached

Take this where ever you’d like… I can see too many angles (no pun intended) so use your imagination! I’d hate to get 15 poems all about how women control men (which is only partially true )… you can do better than that…

15 poets
Not more than 10 lines (less is fine)
Closes when full or in 2 days.

Prewrites are welcome but they must be appropriate to the picture and conform to the length requirements. I won’t DQ but I will ignore for trophy consideration.
If adult, please mark it appropriately.

  • Final notes:
    Okay Well, what an eye-opener this was… From hard-core domination to gentle love to bodybuilding… what a diverse group of poems this generated (LOL). And all were terrific! I have no idea how to judge this without overlooking something I loved… Hmmm since they won’t allow 4 Gold, 4 Silver, and 4 Bronze or 12 Gold, I’m going to have to just pick an order based on what surprised and/or touched me the most.

    Gold – Cupid’s Noose. Clever, funny, a tapestry of all the elements woven in a wonderfully humorous write.
    Silver – Tied Up. A lyrical ode to how we are bound daily and restrained by society.
    Bronze – Flex on Cue. Bodybuilding – who’d a thunk? LOL but a clever take and a warning against cheating!

    Honorable Mentions… No particular order but all worthy of trophies and reading.

    OOOOOOOOOOOO I would have liked it uncropped, better! My head is in a fog today. Would love to enter if you could extend it one day. I will res. and then if you cannot extend, I will withdraw. Great prompt! heheheh
