I don't have many favourites but one of them is a superb poet and needs cheering up.
Ironically, since Sue Cardwell ( http://allpoetry.com/Sue%20Cardwell ) is the best writer of upbeat sad poetry on AllPoetry, one of the ways I want you to do that is to write a sad but not depressing rhyming poem, just as she does. You can also write in any form about Sue, make it positive but it can be about how you imagine her to be or about the real Sue.
Do your best please she's a great poet!
(She loves sonnets and sapphic odes and ballad meters and beautiful free verse!)

Contest is Over
- Contest was judged on August 23, 2008
- Rewards: Gold: 1000, Silver: 300, Bronze: 150, Honorable mention: 8 people
- Final notes: First I must thank my friend Sue for agreeing to judge this contest with me so you all know that the poems that won are those that cheered her up the most.
I won't attempt to second guess any of her judging here, except to say she and cricketjeff have an agreement not to give each other more than HMs and I have respected this.
Thank-you to all the poets, Sue assures me that every poem delighted her and I would have given more HMs but that's all my points and I didn't want to ask her for more.
